Weinstein accepts scholarship to NCAA's Bentley
Wednesday, December 15, 2010 - Submitted by BCHL Media

Vernon Vipers defenceman Steven Weinstein has signed a scholarship to attend NCAA Division I Bentley University in Massachusetts, the club announced Wednesday.

Weinstein, a 20-year-old Los Angeles product, is in his third year with the Vipers and has handled the role of alternate captain for the team this season. Coach Mark Ferner has used the 5-foot-9, 170-pound blueliner in all situations this year for the Snakes.

Bentley University is located in Boston and plays out of the Atlantic Hockey conference. Weinstein becomes the first Viper to sign to play for the Falcons.
