The Cowichan Valley Capitals are pleased to announce forward Matthew Brown has committed to Mount Royal University for the coming season.
Brown had 63 points in 50 regular season games with the Capitals during the 2011-12 BCHL season before gaining some valuable experience as part of the Wichita Thunder of the Central Hockey League for their 2011-12 playoff run.
The Mount Royal Cougars are heading into their inaugural season as a part of the CIS (Canadian Interuniversity Sport). Brown will join a former Caps teammate on the Cougars in forward Devin Gannon who committed to the program earlier this year.
