11 BCHL alums recognized for academics in Hockey East

The NCAA's Hockey East conference revealed this week its 2011-12 All-Academic Team and 11 BCHL graduates made the list.

Student athletes had to achieve a grade-point average of 3.0 or better in each of the two academic periods during which he was actively competing. This year, a Hockey East-record 100 student athletes were made the grade.

Here's the list of BCHL alums who were included:

Tyler Brickler, UMass-Lowell (Westside Warriors)

Quinn Gould, Merrimack (Westside Warriors)

Jordan Heywood, Merrimack (Victoria Grizzlies, two-time honouree)

Damon Kipp, New Hampshire (Salmon Arm SilverBacks, three-time honouree)

Isaac MacLeod, Boston College (Penticton Vees, two-time honouree)

Josh Manson, Northeastern (Salmon Arm SilverBacks)

Bryan Mountain, Northeastern (Penticton Vees, three-time honouree)

Kyle Mountain, Vermont (Penticton Vees)

Kyle Murphy, Providence (Vernon Vipers)

Chris Rawlings, Northeastern (Cowichan Valley Capitals)

Grant Rollheiser, Boston University (Trail Smoke Eaters)
