Monday, March 19, 2012 - Submitted by BCHL Media

Salmon Arm SilverBacks goalie Kurt Williams has secured a commitment to Manhattanville College to play for the Valiants starting in the 2012-13 season.

The 20-year-old Rocky Mountain House, Alta. native finished his final BCHL season as the SilverBacks number-one goalie and played the fifth most minutes in the league while making the third highest number of saves.

Manhattanville College is located in Purchase, N.Y. and the hockey team plays in the NCAA Division III Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference. The Valiants currently have three BCHL alums on their roster including J.P. Witkop, Ron Smith and Evan Michalchuk.
