Spruce Kings announce latest prize winner in Show Home Lottery

Sunday, February 7, 2010 - Submitted by Prince George Spruce Kings

The Prince George Spruce Kings would like to congratulate Dave Wenger of Prince George as the latest winner in the Spruce Kings Show Home Lottery. On Sunday February 7, 2010, ticket number 4262 was drawn for the early bird prize of a Disney Family Vacation from Japatedon Travel & Cruises.

The early bird prize draw was made two days after the 28th Annual Spruce Kings Show Home Lottery became the third consecutive sell out and exactly one week before the grand prize draw on February 14th. The tenth and final early bird prize was valued at $5793.00 and includes departure from Prince George.

“This is another neat story in the Show Home Lottery,” said Spruce Kings board member Adrien Chabot. “What makes this so interesting is that Dave last went to Disneyland when he was 10 years old after winning a trip. He was very excited to learn that he was going again some forty years later.”

Next up in the Show Home Lottery is the grand prize draw for the $376,000 custom built 1501-square foot house. Built by Ebb Construction, this ground level rancher with a partially finished basement features a number of touches from local businesses including the exterior siding from W.R. Ventures, an alarm system from Curtis Elite Alarms, granite counter tops from Van Way Cabinets, lighting from McInnis Lighting, closets from Closets-Done-Right and seven appliances from the Northern Hardware. The washing machine and dryer, fridge, stove, dishwasher and microwave as well as a TV are all part of the grand prize that will be drawn on Valentine’s Day.

“This is a beautiful home and someone is going to win it next Sunday,” said Spruce Kings Show Home Lottery manager, Jim Young. “This Lottery has been changing people’s lives twenty seven times over and we are only days away from finding out who will be the 28th.”

“Of course the Spruce Kings have benefited from this Lottery as well,” continued Young, “We wouldn’t be playing hockey if it weren’t for the overwhelming support shown by so many people. It has been said before but it simply can’t be said enough, thank you to everyone who purchased a ticket in the Spruce Kings Show Home Lottery.”

The grand prize draw will be made at 8:00pm on Sunday February 14, 2010 inside the house at 2638 Links Drive and everybody is welcome to come and witness the draw.

A complete list of early bird prizes and draw dates as well as a winner’s list is available from the Spruce Kings website at www.sprucekings.bc.ca.
