Smart Hockey Magazine debuted in September 2008 and is currently entering its seventh season as the official publication of the British Columbia Hockey League.

Smart Hockey is published bi-monthly during the hockey season and is distributed electronically to subscribers and to fans of the BCHL's 16 teams at rinks around the league.

Smart Hockey is committed to providing exceptional coverage of the league and its players, as well as BCHL graduates who have moved on to play in the National Hockey League and other professional leagues in North America and Europe.

Former BCHL stars interviewed and featured in previous editions of the magazine include Hockey Hall of Famer Brett Hull, Detroit Red Wings GM Ken Holland, NHLers Justin Schultz, Mike Santorelli and David Jones as well as NCAA standouts Joel Lowry and Joey Laleggia. Smart Hockey also aims to keep BCHL fans up to date with recent grads who are starring in the NCAA and CIS.
