

The Prince George Spruce Kings of the British Columbia Hockey League have an immediate vacancy for the position of Athletic Therapist/Trainer and Equipment Manager for the 2013-14 season.
The Athletic Therapist / Trainer, Equipment Manager position is a position within the organization that is responsible for all player injuries, sicknesses and general trainer duties.
Some of the specific duties that the position includes are below:
Working with the team doctor, injury rehabilitation and prevention, documentation of all injuries, communicating all injuries to coaches and management, conducting pre- and post-game workouts, practice preparation, dressing room maintenance, game preparation, monitoring player nutrition, supervising team off-ice workouts, ordering and inventory of supplies, equipment maintenance, laundry, packing for road trips, comply with all Hockey Canada, BCHL, and BC Hockey rules and regulations
The successful candidate must have Hockey Canada’s Safety Person (HCSP) certification, Sports First Responder certificate and possess strong communication skills with experience in the hockey industry. Preference will be given to candidates certified as Athletic Therapists. It is essential that the successful candidate understands the hockey environment and is able tohandle the challenges it brings to the day-to-day work atmosphere.
Minimum $2000 per month is negotiable based on a 9 month (August 15 - May 15) term which is also negotiable. The contract length or number of years is negotiable.

Role and Responsibilities
The Athletic Therapist/Equipment Manager is a key part of the success of the Merritt Centennials Hockey Club, contributing to the health and readiness of the players and working with the coaching staff to ensure optimal performance.
· Coordinate and implement all medical, rehabilitation and strength and conditioning activities
· Responsible for equipment inventory tracking, maintenance and distribution
· Responsible for injury prevention and assessment
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Preferred experience with hockey teams or other team related sports. Applicants must have (or been near completion of) the following qualifications:
· Certified Athletic Therapist
· Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma: Kinesiology or related program preferred.
The following credentials are preferred but not essential:
· ATC
· NSCA CSCS certification
· Hockey Canada “Speak Out” and “Safety” Programs
Preferred Skills
Working knowledge of modality unit preferred. Applicants must be committed to working in team environment and proven ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities. |

The Salmon Arm SilverBacks
are currently seeking an individual for the position of
Director of Marketing/Corporate Partnerships & Broadcaster.
This position will report directly to the President and General Manager. Specific areas of focus include broadcasting SilverBacks games,selling all inventory, developing plans to market and promote the organization as well as planning and executing game nights & special events as needed.
This is a full time salary + bonus position that requires candidates to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Experience
Candidates should have 2 -3 years experience and a history of success in sports advertising/sponsorship and/or radio/media sales & marketing.
