The City of Chilliwack is situated in B.C.'s Fraser Valley, about 90 kilometres east of Vancouver, and is home to about 80,000 residents. While the local economy has been traditionally centred around agriculture, recent development lends it an increasingly urban feel.
Chilliwack offers countless opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts from hiking, white water rafting and golf to some of the best freshwater fishing spots in B.C.
The BCHL's Chiefs and the British Columbia Footbal Conference's Huskers are two of the prominent sports teams in Chilliwack. The City is served by two newspapers (the Progress and the Times) and also two radio stations (89.5 The Drive and Star 98.3)
