The BCHL/Vancouver Canuck Alumni Scholarship Program
In partnership with the BC Hockey League, the BC Hockey Benevolent Association offers annual Vancouver Canucks Alumni scholarships. The program is designed to provide former BCHL players with the opportunity to apply for scholarship funds as they continue their academic and hockey careers.
Since 1987, the B.C. Hockey Benevolent Association has provided scholarships to individuals who have graduated from the league. The recipients of the scholarships are determined by a selection committee consisting of members of the Vancouver Canuck Alumni and will be based on the individual’s academic, hockey and community service.
The Vancouver Canucks Alumni Scholarship Committee determines the amount of the scholarship based on the quality and number of applicants. Awards will be dispersed in the August just prior to the start of the new season. To be eligible, the applicant must meet the following criteria:
• Must have played 50 games in the BC Hockey League • Must be a graduated junior • Must be playing hockey at a university or college in North America
The scholarship term is for a maximum of five years during which time the player must continue to meet the above requirements to stay in the program. Applications must be submitted on the appropriate form available on this page and sent to the Chairman of the Scholarship Committee at the following address:
